Captain Jim continues on the voyage of life. After putting in to Captain Jim’s Cove, he has been restocking his cabin.
In 2016, he spent three months in Germany, mostly working. But he was very happy to confirm that his German, learned many years ago, still works and is still fluent. To get a different perspective on events, he reads German newspapers on the Internet such as Die Welt, Die Zeit, the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He also listens to Deutschlandfunk, which has interesting commentary and a press review after the news at 7:00 a.m. German l time.
